Water Tips
Graywater System
While this option is mainly for those with slightly higher incomes, and a house of their oww, it is still one that is worth mentioning. Graywater refers to water that has come in contact with things such as: hair, cleaning supplies, dirt, etc. This water does not come into contact with feces or other materials like this, which is a common misconception about these systems. Generally, they are used to irrigate your lawn, by directing this used water outside and into the groud. This provides valuable nutrients to the ground, while also preventing the water from being run trhough your sewage/waste system. If you want to go a step above, you can even treat the water so that it can be reused in your house in certain ways. Source: https://greywateraction.org/greywater-reuse/
Saving When Washing
Many of the washing habits that people tend to develop use up more water than necessary, but their are some ways that you can save water while washing clothes. The first way is to reuse clothes/towels when possible, and to wash in full loads rather than in smaller seperate loads when you do have to wash them. This helps reduce load sizes and frequency of how many loads are run, so that less water is used overall. Another way to reduce water usage when washing is to forgo the extra rinse cycle that many washers have as part of their washing routine. Usually these are uneccesary as you shouldnt be using enough soap where it isnt washed off in the first rinse cycle. Source: https://wateruseitwisely.com/laundryroom/
